Microsoft Kinect Pushes Hardware Dependency to the Brink of Extinction. Now, the title of this article might be a bit exaggerated but the new to be launched Microsoft Kinect will have a large impact on the riddance of the computer mouse, keyboard and monitor.
Say goody bye to the mouse, keyboard and monitor. Instead of sliding your mouse to select, you could just point at it. Instead of typing a command on the keyboard, you could just say it. And instead of looking at a blinding monitor, you could just project that to the surface of your contact lenses. Yes, that sounds very futuristic but the future is now.
This idea was made popular in the movie “Minority Report” and now Microsoft is making the first step to this reality with its Microsoft Kinect. Microsoft’s Kinect, which hits stores November 4, lets players control games by moving their bodies.
Now, use this capabilities in computing and we have another revolution in computer technology.
